Installing Kali 2016.2 on VirtualBox throws an error [solved]
The default (virtual) hard drive size for a 64-bit installation of Debian on VirtualBox is 8Gb.
Kali 2016.2 will choke during the installation process if you keep the default size.
Start with something a little larger and you should be good to go. (12Gb worked for me)
